The cohort / study team difference
As a member of a cohort, you have a heightened learning experience through the relationships you form with your peers, faculty, and the Bryant community. You will have a class identity and instant colleagues from companies in many industries. Should you find a course or topic particularly challenging, or if you are absent from a class due to professional travel, you can rely on your cohort and your study team to get you back up to speed quickly.
You need to have successfully completed coursework in macroeconomics, microeconomics, and statistics at the undergraduate or graduate level. If you have not yet taken the prerequisite courses, please consult with the Graduate School staff about alternatives.
In addition to the application form, you will need to submit a statement of objectives, current resume, one professional recommendation, official transcripts from all colleges / universities you have attended and your application fee (waived for Bryant alumni).
An international applicant is defined as any person that requires a student visa to study in the United States. International applicants are eligible to apply to any graduate program, provided they have successfully completed the equivalent of a United States bachelor’s degree and have the appropriate diplomas and/or satisfactory results on transcripts or leaving examinations from the country in which the degree was earned. International applicants must complete all program-specific application requirements as well as all additional international application requirements outlined below.
Applicants that have completed a degree outside of the United States or Canada must have a course-by-course evaluation of their transcript(s) completed by an evaluation company approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). A list of approved organizations can be found at http://www.naces.org. The evaluation must be certified and in English, with individual grades and cumulative GPA converted to a 4.0 scale. If the evaluation includes a certified copy of the undergraduate transcript, an official transcript is not required to be separately sent by the institution. Submission of falsified documents is grounds for denial of admission or dismissal from the University.
All applicants whose primary language is not English (or for whom English is not one of their primary languages) are required to submit proof of satisfactory English proficiency. Exceptions will be made if the applicant completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at a regionally accredited institution within the U.S., or if the language of instruction for an earned undergraduate or graduate degree was entirely in English. At this time, the only acceptable forms of proof for English proficiency are the TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo English Test, with minimum score requirements listed below.
- TOEFL iBT: 85
- IELTS: 6.5
- Duolingo English Test: 105
An official score report must be sent directly from the examination organization to the Graduate Programs Office at Bryant University (TOEFL School Code: 3095).
