Requirements

Three weeks prior to starting the program, you are required to complete an online orientation course, Strategies for Success, which will help you succeed in Bryant's MBA online program. This course is designed to familiarize you with the online technology environment, provided by Canvas (LMS), and introduce you to professors, your success coach, and staff at Bryant. Online study skills, time management skills, and self-directed learning will also be addressed to ensure your success.

In addition to the online application form, you will need to submit a statement of objectives, current resume, two letters of recommendation from current or former managers (not colleagues), official transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended, and your application fee (waived for Bryant alumni). Electronic transcripts may be sent to graduateprograms@bryant.edu

An international applicant is defined as any person that requires a student visa to study in the United States. International applicants are eligible to apply to any graduate program, provided they have successfully completed the equivalent of a United States bachelor’s degree and have the appropriate diplomas and/or satisfactory results on transcripts or leaving examinations from the country in which the degree was earned. International applicants must complete all program-specific application requirements as well as all additional international application requirements outlined below.

Transcripts

Applicants that have completed a degree outside of the United States or Canada must have a course-by-course evaluation of their transcript(s) completed by an evaluation company approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). A list of approved organizations can be found at http://www.naces.org. The evaluation must be certified and in English, with individual grades and cumulative GPA converted to a 4.0 scale. If the evaluation includes a certified copy of the undergraduate transcript, an official transcript is not required to be separately sent by the institution. Submission of falsified documents is grounds for denial of admission or dismissal from the University.

English Proficiency

All applicants whose primary language is not English (or for whom English is not one of their primary languages) are required to submit proof of satisfactory English proficiency. Exceptions will be made if the applicant completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at a regionally accredited institution within the U.S., or if the language of instruction for an earned undergraduate or graduate degree was entirely in English. At this time, the only acceptable forms of proof for English proficiency are the TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo English Test, with minimum score requirements listed below.

  • TOEFL iBT: 85
  • IELTS: 6.5
  • Duolingo English Test: 105

An official score report must be sent directly from the examination organization to the Graduate Programs Office at Bryant University (TOEFL School Code: 3095).

Students can apply for government-sponsored and private education loans. U.S. citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For information, please visit studentaid.gov. In addition, Bryant University accepts payments directly from a number of employers who have tuition assistance programs. In other cases, students may be eligible for reimbursement of educational expenses. For more information, contact the Graduate Programs Office, graduateprograms@bryant.edu or (401) 232-6230.

Many student assignments involve the use of VoiceThread, a video-based discussion system requiring audio and video capture of the student as well as Zoom for synchronous sessions requiring real-time video participation from the students. Finally, all written assignments are submitted via the Turnitin plagiarism-monitoring software to ensure original submissions from all students.
